Each year we send a group from our body to the Czech Republic to bring the Gospel to Czech Students.  We use the platform of English teaching camps which gives us many opportunities to build relationships and share Christ through our actions and words.  The English Camp schedule allows us to teach English in the mornings, have the afternoons to do relationship building activities and sports, and provide a Christian program at night.  The Christian program at night consists of singing some fun praise songs with crazy hand motions, worship songs, a message that presents an aspect of the Gospel, and a discussion group after the talk.  The talks build up through out the week and culminates with calling the students to give their life to Christ.  The discussion groups afterwards provide each student a safe, small group environment to ask questions.  Over the past few years we have seen many students come to faith and they are still walking today!

One of the big reasons we have invested in these summer projects and partnered with Josiah Venture to do these camps is because of the role of the local church to follow up with these camps.  Our church partners with a Czech church (for us the town of Bohumin and Havirov) where they invite people from their town to come to the camps.  After the camps we go back to their city and help them get transitioned into the church in that town so that they have an environment where they can continue to grow for a lifetime!


This year, our trip is from July 3rd- August 1.  We are taking a team of 30 people from MVC and our sister church - Windsor Community.  We would ask for you to pray for a few specific things:
1) God would be glorified in our time in Czech
2) Our team would be unified and walking in the Spirit
3) God would bring many students to the camp for us to share His message
4) Czech leadership would be encouraged and walking with the Lord
5) God would draw many students to Himself
6) Many students would get assimilated into the church in Bohumin and Havirov
7) Our team would have servants hearts and be a blessing to the Czech Republic
8) God would begin to open the door for a greater investment into the Czech Republic with a possible church plant or coming along side an existing church to encourage and resource them.
9) Safety for our team while we travel.
