Opportunities to Serve at MVC

The church is described in scripture as a “household” (Eph 2:19), or as family. We see a beautiful picture of what the family of God looks like in Acts 2:42-27. They were a worshiping community of people who did life together, cared for each others needs, and had an impact on the community they lived in. We desire to be that kind of church where each person who comes to MVC benefits from others as well is involved in blessing others. Below are several ways for you to begin to get involved in serving in the church family. WEEKEND WORSHIP SUPPORT (EASY PLACES TO GET STARTED)...

Sound Ministry – Help run the sound during the weekly worship services and other special events.
Multimedia Ministry – Run the slides and other multimedia components during the weekly worship services and other special events.
Ushers – Help us maximize our corporate gatherings by managing the seating and flow of people in and out of the sanctuary.
Greeters – Welcome people at the front door as you pass out bulletins and help visitors find their way around the building.
Hospitality – Help brew coffee and set out refreshments in the Family Center to help our church family enjoy fellowship between services.
Nursery – Care for newborns and toddlers during the service so their parents can enjoy worshiping together.
 

MINISTERING TO OTHERS...

Children's Celebration – Invest in the children of our church family by teaching them during the weekly services and in other special events like VBS. You will be blessed as you impart spiritual truths to young hearts and see their simple faith in action.
Jr. High Youth Ministry – Help disciple and pour into the teens in our church family, while also helping reach out to local teens by spending time at the schools building relationships.
Sr. High Youth Ministry – Help disciple and pour into the teens in our church family, while also helping reach out to local teens by spending time at the schools building relationships.
Singles Ministry – Help disciple and pour into the young singles in our church family.
College Ministry – Help disciple and pour into the college students in our church body and reach out on the campus.
Worship Ministry – Use your musical gifts to lead our church family in the worship of our great God! We need musicians for our weekend service worship teams, as well as for special events, and leading worship in our children's and college ministries.
Prayer Ministry – Help mobilize our church body in prayer through facilitating prayer environments and movements in our midst.
Mercy Ministry – Help us care for the needy in our church family and in our community by reaching out with the love and care of Christ in practical ways.
 

USING YOUR SKILLS...

Church Facilities – Help us care for and improve the wonderful facility God has entrusted to our church family. This includes both interior and exterior maintenance and improvements.
Graphics / Printed Media – Use you graphic skills to help us design and publish various media used to communicate with the church family.
IT / Web / Communication – Help us maintain and expand our technology infrastructure and enhance our web and online communication tools.
Special Events Coordination – Help plan and coordinate special events that bring the church family together.
CARE Team – Help care for the entire body as well as visitors with any medical or security issues. Most duties can be performed during your normal worship or fellowship schedule. Prior experience is not required.
