We exist to lead the body in experiencing the life-changing encounter of God-centered worship
Throughout God's Word, those that
truly entered into worship of Him were radically changed. Our desire is that
each one of us in this church body would be transformed as we continually
worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:23). We seek to accomplish this in
many ways, through the study of God's Word, living a daily life of obedience as
well as using the universal language of music as a vehicle to help us express,
both corporately and individually, our choice to love and obey Him. This is
primarily accomplished through a contemporary music format during our different
weekend worship services, College Ministry, Youth Ministry, Small Groups
(FLOCKS), Children's Celebration, Concerts of Prayer, and various outreaches.
We believe music is a powerful tool that enables people of
different backgrounds, ages and races to unite in one accord to praise and
worship the one and only God. Therefore, we are committed to creativity and
excellence in all we do, using our artistic gifts skillfully but humbly for our
God (Psalm 33:3), determined to use
music to direct the hearts and minds of those in the body, to worship God
alone.
In addition, we are committed to
rising up worship leaders from the harvest for the harvest, who truly know how to worship and who can lead
others into worship. As we plant churches, we desire to send out worship teams
as part of the church plant right from the beginning. The Worship Ministry is a vital part of MVC, where we desire to see many
people use their God-given gifts to worship God and lead others to worship Him.
