History

MVC SignMountain View Community Church began with a desire to see a church birthed that would make a genuine difference in the hearts of people throughout northern Colorado. The church began with a commitment to reach out with the love of Christ to those who were primarily unchurched. During the first eight months, God brought together a group of people with a common desire to see MVC birthed in Fort Collins. To the praise of God, on Easter morning, April 12, 1993, MVC had its grand opening at Webber Junior High School. Since then, God has brought many people - through the ministry of MVC - to a genuine, life-changing encounter with Himself. And it hasn't stopped there, but has proceeded to knit our hearts together to become a spiritual family for hundreds in northern Colorado.

In February of 1999, God moved our church family to purchase an old historic church building at 201 Whedbee Street, just southeast of Old Town, Fort Collins. Since then, this has become home sweet home for us. The most common description of MVC is "family". God has built within MVC strong values for relationships, belonging, caring, and support. A natural outflow has been the desire to multiply what God has done. Three additional churches have been birthed out of our church family. We are thrilled to be able to multiply what God has graciously accomplished at MVC through the planting of other churches.

Please consider being a part of writing History (His-story) at MVC. We anticipate God continuing His work of life changes. Will you join us?
