Being Purposeful This Christmas Week

By Jason McConahy | Published Wednesday, December 16, 2009

Let's be purposeful about reaching out to others over the course of this next week as we approach Christmas.  Here are a few reminders and "tools" to consider as you pray for those in your life who don't yet know Jesus...

GREETING CARDS - We made some "greeting cards" that are meant to point people to the gospel.  Consider using these cards to send to family and friends, or to attach to cookies / jam / goodies that you give as gifts in your neighborhood.  You can pick up more copies of these at the welcome center at the building.

CHRISTMAS EVE - We will be having three services on Christmas Eve (4, 6 and 8 pm).  The service will be filled with Christ-exalting worship as well as a clear presentation of the gospel.  If you are going to be joining us for worship that night, who can you invite from your workplace, your neighborhood, or your family to come with you?

INVITATION CARDS - We have printed invitation cards for our Christmas Eve services that have all the details in them.  These have been in the bulletins for the last few weeks and more copies can be picked up at the building.  Tonight, Sara is having neighbor-ladies over for an annual Christmas gathering.  She is giving each of them some baked goods afterwards and is simply going to attach one of these invite cards to send with each one.

EVITES and FACEBOOK - We also have an e-invitation on our website that you can send out to people with all the information about our services.  You can access it from our main page at www.mvcchurch.org.  Another great way to invite people to our Christmas Eve services is to send out a message to all of your friends on Facebook.

PRAY EXPECTANTLY - Lets all be praying that God would use this Christmas to draw people to Himself.  Take time each day to pray for people by name that you are reaching out to!
