New Jersey Mission Trip Update 2
I want to thank you for your prayers. They are being answered. We are four days into the trip and seeing God do so much. We came in Friday and met a few folks from the church and were able to unpack and get settled, then we had a time of worship and prayer.
On Saturday we got up had our devotions and hit the road to an abandoned rental home. When we got there the place was trashed. The team busted their hump in 100+ degree weather in extreme humidity. We met the owner's daughter, Jen, and she was very distant and aloof. By the time we finished it was almost ready to rent again, more importantly Jen was receptive of the help and very responsive. Jen is a single mother of 8 kids and they are having a very difficult time. The Church has been reaching out to her but she has not been willing to accept any help. By God's grace we were able to go there and serve her. By God's supernatural intervention she was able to come to church for the first time and hear the gospel. She told her friends at the church she was blessed and connected with the message. Please pray for her Salvation. We will have the opportunity to help serve her again on Saturday. We also were able to help a couple, the Cintolis, in the church put in fencing. It was a simple act of service and pretty fun. The Cintolis, a couple that have been in full time ministry for years. They were involved with some bad ministry situations and by the time They came to Remedy, they were burned out and disillusioned with the church. Our simple act of kindness meant so much to them. It was a piece of the healing process of God rebuilding this dynamic couple. They are beginning to see the church as Christ's design and are beginning to love Jesus' bride. Please be praying for them as well that God would build them up and send them out in his timing. Please pray against Spiritual Attack, we are experiencing the advancement of the kingdom and need to be protected. We have had some attacks and need more prayer.
Please Pray for energy, we are running hard. We will take it easier for the next couple days, but we are still exhausted. Pray for unity in the team: We are all growing together and God is using all of us so much. I could not ask for a better team then what we have. On that note, it is hot and we are tired and all living together. Please pray we would continue to love one another and serve on another in the Power of the Spirit.
Thanks so much for sending us, we look forward more updates to come.
In His Grip,
Jonathan White
