Biblical Foundations is designed to be a one-on-one Bible study intended to deepen your love for Jesus Christ by helping ground you in foundational concepts of the Christian faith.  It is simply amazing to stop and realize that God has chosen to reveal Himself to us. The Word of God is indeed a wonderful treasure, and as a disciple (follower) of Jesus, you will be growing in your love for Him for the rest of your life as you dive into this treasure.

Within our commitment to the foundational truths of historical, orthodox Christianity, we at MVC have certain Biblical Distinctives that may set us apart from other churches. These distinctives, or doctrines, may set us apart in teaching, although hopefully not in spirit, from some of our other brothers and sisters in the Universal Body of Christ.

Membership

Mountain View Community Church does not have formalized membership. We do, however, believe the Bible speaks clearly and directly about what it means to be a member of the body of Christ. We cover these ideas in depth through our MVC Connect and Biblical Distinctives gatherings. By God’s design, every one who is a part of the universal church is called to live in the context of a local expression of the church. This means each one of us is to have a vital and dynamic connection to a local church where we know and are known, where we are using our gifts to serve the church and build it up on strength, and where we are living in community and living on mission for the purpose of proclaiming the gospel and making disciples of Jesus.

For the purposes of defining those who are members of Mountain View, the commitment of membership is expressed through:
- Regular attendance and participation in the corporate worship gathering
- Involvement in an intimate shepherding community (LifeGroups)
- Actively serving in the church
- Having completed the Biblical Distinctives class and are in agreement with MVC’s doctrinal statements.
